For many years, and I can't tell you how many, I was blessed to serve as a university administrator. The reason I'm not going to tell you how many years, is because then, you'll calculate my age! LOL! I loved each and everyone of my students and everyone I worked with, well almost everyone! LOL! But when my parents needed me most, I resigned from my position and cared for them both, something I consider the biggest blessing in my life!

Great authors have written on how things happen when they suppose to and that everything that happens in our lives is getting us ready for the present day in which we live. I too, believe this. I am thankful for all the events that have taken place in my life. For those that were in my life that maybe now are not, for those that remain and for those that I have yet to meet. Want to know what else I am truly thankful for? My CULTURE! I feel blessed to be Cuban-American! With every new day, I am indebted a little bit more, to my parents and the United States of America. To my parents for having loved and respected their homeland so much that they transposed that love of country and culture to me and to the United States for everything that it is.

I am so proud to be Cuban-American and to have been born in the great city of Detroit, to the two most amazing individuals that ever walked this planet. I love my culture, my music, my food, my ancestors, my history and my upbringing.
